MTB Cam: The First Test Drive

This is almost too easy. The hard part was waiting almost a whole week to try this out on the trail. I went to a favorite ride near my house just above Descanso Gardens with a couple of friends. They probably thought I was a little nuts until they saw me take the camera out. Then they knew I was nuts.

We pedaled up to the top the trail. It was time to take the camera out and test it out on some single track. I immediately learned:

  • It’s a bad idea to try to start the camera WHILE riding
  • I look ridiculous with a camera on my head
  • The camera was pointed straight down
  • No matter how hard I tried to look up, the camera still pointed just ahead of the bike

Well, see for yourself:

Looking down isn’t too bad. The hurricane following you was bothersome though.
